White Lotus: the launch that dethroned Lazy Cake

White Lotus: the launch that dethroned Lazy Cake

On 5 June we launched White Lotus, and things have not been the same since. The flavour combines caramelised Lotus Biscoff with white chocolate, the toasted warmth of the biscuit wrapped in something smooth, sweet and unreasonably easy to keep eating.

A flavour like that deserved more than a product photo and a caption, so the launch campaign got a custom song written in the style of an 80s rock ballad. Big feelings, bigger chorus, all in service of an ice cream. The song did exactly what a power ballad should do, it got a reaction. Tarek Ariss posted an iconic reaction reel on Instagram, and honestly, the review says it all.

Then came the part nobody predicted. Lazy Cake has been our bestseller for as long as anyone can remember, the flavour every other flavour quietly competes against. White Lotus dethroned it. Temporarily, yes, but a dethroning is a dethroning, and in this freezer that counts as a coronation.

The crown has moved around since, but White Lotus never left the palace. It has held one of the top two sales spots since launch, turning what could have been a summer fling into a permanent fixture. If you have not tried it yet, we recommend queueing up a power ballad first. It tastes better with a key change.
